Some in the community may have heard about a situation regarding the City of South Portland’s flagpole in front of our business.  The flagpoles are not on our property, we do not use them. We promptly notified the City and they rectified the situation. 

The Fifth Annual Sugarloaf Charity Challenge is scheduled for January 25, 2024. Attorney Jerome Gamache returns to fundraise for another year. Over the past five years, Attorney Gamache has raised over $75,000 thanks to many generous donations! The funds raised will help provide funding to the Maine Cancer Foundation, the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center, and the Dempsey Center. ATR has also joined the charity as a corporate sponsor for another year.

The Firm announces the transition of Sheri Lopez from her position as legal assistant at its Kingfield office to Deputy Registrar of Probate for Franklin County.  Sheri had an exemplary 31 year career working with attorney Donald J. Fowler, Jr. who retired at the end of 2023. Sheri has been invaluable in assisting the Firm with the transition of attorney Fowler’s practice with Ainsworth Thelin & Raftice and has been a constant presence in the Main Street office. Attorney Jerome Gamache states: “Sheri’s presence will be greatly missed, she is a local fixture in the community and a dedicated and hard worker for all clients. On a personal note I have very much enjoyed getting to know her. But, change is inevitable!- we look forward to working with Sheri in her new career in public service.” For her part, Sheri states “After Don retired I knew I wanted to make a change and try something new. There is now a rare employment opportunity for the Firm to hire a paralegal for the Kingfield office. The position will require working locally in-office with the public and connecting online with attorneys and paralegals in the Firm’s South Portland office. Real estate experience is a must as well as an interest in learning other areas of the law and helping local clients with legal needs. The Firm is willing to train the right individual as needed. Maine Cancer Foundation’s 17th Annual Tri for a Cure is scheduled for July 14, 2024 at Southern Maine Community College here in South Portland. Attorney Eleanor Dominguez is competing for her first time in the bike portion. Elly has raised over $1,000 thanks to many generous donations. The funds raised will be 100% invested back into Maine communities thanks to Maine Cancer Foundation’s goal to reduce cancer incidence and mortality rates in Maine.
