Michael F. Vaillancourt

Mike Vaillancourt was admitted to the Maine Bar in 2000, and has worked as an attorney at Ainsworth, Thelin & Raftice since 2002.  Elevated to a role as partner with the firm in 2008, Attorney Vaillancourt enjoys working with the firm’s many business clients, negotiating and drafting contracts, leases and assisting clientele with the purchase and sale of businesses and business assets.  He regularly provides legal assistance to the firm’s landlord clients, and also appears in courts throughout the state representing litigants in civil cases.   

Mike also represents Ainsworth, Thelin & Raftice’s clients with municipal landowner and permitting issues.  He previously served on the Town of Cape Elizabeth’s Zoning Board of Appeals, including several years as the Board’s chair, which afforded Mike the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the municipal zoning and permitting process. 

While attending college in Washington, D.C., Mike served as a Congressional intern to then-Congressman John Baldacci.

Hailing from Otisfield, Maine, Mike is an avid outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, skiing, biking, and generally romping around the State of Maine’s woods and waterways with his wife, Katie, and pointer-dogs, Waylon and Willie.  He currently resides in Cape Elizabeth.
